Affiliate disclosure

Some links on our site earn us a commission. This page explains how that works, and why it does not change our scores.

Last updated: [Saturday, 19 September 2026]

The short version: if you buy through a link on our site, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it doesn't change our scores or what we write.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link tells the seller that you came from our site. If you buy after clicking it, the seller pays us a commission. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway.

Which links on our site are affiliate links?

  • The "Check price" and "Shop now" buttons on review pages and review cards.
  • Links inside a review or guide that take you to a seller's website.
  • Some of these links pass through our own address (for example, bestofficialreviews.com/go/product-name) and forward you to the seller. We mark all of them as sponsored links.

Links to our own reviews, categories, and pages are not affiliate links.

Who we earn from

We take part in affiliate programs run by product companies and affiliate networks: [list the networks or programs you use]. We earn a commission only when a purchase is made, at a rate set by the seller.

Why this doesn't change our scores

We know a commission can tempt a reviewer to say nice things. This is how we deal with that:

  • Every product is scored with the same rubric, explained on our methodology page. Commission rates are not part of it.
  • Every review covers weak points and side effects, not only the good news.
  • We publish low scores, and we say when a product isn't worth buying, whether or not it pays us.
  • Companies can't pay for a review, a score, or a position on our site.

Free products and sponsored content

[Choose one: "We don't accept free products or payment from companies in exchange for coverage." or "If a company sends us a free product, we say so at the top of the review. It doesn't change the score."]

Cookies and tracking

When you click an affiliate link, the seller or its network may place a cookie in your browser so they can credit us for the sale. We don't receive your payment details. Read more in our privacy policy.

You don't have to use our links

You are free to visit a seller's website directly. Prices, offers, and refund terms are set by the seller and can change, so check them on the seller's page before you buy.
